Summer Berry Smoothie Recipe

Sarah Wight, BA., DipION, mBNTA

This smoothie is as delicious as it is nutritious. Finding a healthy breakfast option that is quick and easy while still packing a nutritious punch can be tricky. For those that love smoothies in the summertime, this is for you! On the go or delicious and in a smoothie bowl, there are plenty of antioxidant and nutrients here. I’ve written about specific nutrients for men’s fertility HERE, if you want to learn more.

Starting your day off with the right nutrients (micro and macro) can balance blood sugar levels throughout the rest of the day.

Ingredients per Person

1 cup frozen blueberries

2 – 3 frozen strawberries

2 tbsp. pumpkin seeds (zinc)

2 Brazil nuts (selenium)

2 scoops collagen or 1 scoop plant protein powder

½ – 1 cup water (depending on how thick you like it!)

Method

Blend until smoothie. Eat straight away or pour into a mason jar! Note that smoothies with blueberries often get thick after a while and you will need to shake the jar really well.
